Daraz and Big Market join hand to deliver essentials amid lockdown

KATHMANDU, April 7: Daraz, an online marketplace, has partnered with a grocery and department chain, Bigmart to initiate the delivering of essentials items inside Kathmandu Valley.

KATHMANDU, April 7: Daraz, an online marketplace, has partnered with a grocery and department chain, Bigmart to initiate the delivering of essentials items inside Kathmandu Valley.



The online company and Bigmart have come together with the initiative after Nepal Government granted the duo with the permission of delivering the essential goods within Kathmandu Valley during the lockdown imposed to stem the deadly coronavirus.


With this partnership, Daraz and Bigmart are looking forward that people again have access to daily essential items at their doorstep as soon as possible.

As part of the partnership, Daraz’s grocery section called DMart will be transformed into an online branch of Bigmart. There, customers will be able to find a range of essential products available at Bigmart and also enjoy certain Bigmart offers too.


Additionally, customers can enjoy discounts of 10 percent up to a maximum of Rs. 500 by making pre-payments using Debit/Credit Cards of Bank Partners; Sunrise Bank, Sanima Bank, Standard Chartered Bank, Nabil Bank, NIC Asia Bank, and Kumari Bank.

Furthermore, the company is also looking forward to initiate the delivery facilities even outside the Kathmandu Valley soon.


The partners have also ensured the safety of delivery riders and customers. The riders will be regularly temperature screened and further educated on best hygiene practices keeping the customer's safety in first priority.
