Darchula incident probe committee headed for Baitadi

DARCHULA, August 10: A probe committee formed to investigate the ‘Tuin’ (improvised cable crossing) incident in Darchula district left for Baitadi district today.

DARCHULA, August 10: A probe committee formed to investigate the ‘Tuin’ (improvised cable crossing) incident in Darchula district left for Baitadi district today.



The team formed under the coordination of Janardan Gautam, joint secretary at the Ministry of Home Affairs, has left for Baitadi after an eight days' stay in Darchula. It is stated that the probe team headed for Baitadi to carry out further investigation into the incident. The team is scheduled to talk with the security personnel deployed for border security along the Mahakali River.

The Darchula incident is to do with Jaya Singh Dhami who went missing in the course of crossing the Mahakali River via a Tuin. The committee had reached Darchula last week and discussed with security forces and police personnel deployed at the incident site. The probe team has been assigned to submit its report within 10 days.
