KATHMANDU, Feb 13: With Chief Justice Cholendra SJB Rana being suspended following the registration of an impeachment motion against him at the Parliament Secretaraiat, seniormost justice of the Supreme Court Deepak Karki is to become the acting Chief Justice of the apex court.
Earlier this morning, Rana was suspended from the post of Chief Justice following the registration of the impeachment motion against him.

As per Article 101 (6), CJ Rana will not be allowed to discharge his duties unless the impeachment motion registered against him is brough to a conclusion by parliament.
