KATHMANDU, Dec 26: Outgoing Prime Minister and President of Nepali Congress Sher Bahadur Deuba called and congratulated the newly-appointed Prime Minister and Chairman of CPN (Maoist Center) Pushpa Kamal Dahal.

Maoist Center Secretary Ganesh Shah said that Deuba congratulated Dahal over the phone during the Maoist office meeting held this morning. Similarly, Secretary Shah said that other leaders of Nepali Congress also congratulated Dahal.
After breaking the alliance with the Nepali Congress, Dahal was appointed as the Prime Minister with the support of the CPN-UML. He is taking the oath of office and secrecy today at 4PM .
