Deuba-led government by first week of June: Bishwokarma

BHAKTAPUR, May 30: Nepali Congress (NC) Central Committee member Meen Bishwokarma has said that the impeachment motion of Chief Justice Sushila Karmi was  withdrawn with a view to creating environment conducive for the second phase of local level elections.

BHAKTAPUR, May 30: Nepali Congress (NC) Central Committee member Meen Bishwokarma has said that the impeachment motion of Chief Justice Sushila Karmi was  withdrawn with a view to creating environment conducive for the second phase of local level elections.



Speaking at an interaction organized by Rafat Sanchar Club in the capital on Tuesday, Bishwokarma said the impeachment motion against Karki has been withdrawn to implement the constitution.

He further said that the next government would be formed under the leadership of Nepali Congress with the participation of Madhes-based parties, CPN (Maoist Center) and the NC as they have common issues to be addressed.


Bishwokarma claimed that the NC will emerge as the largest party in the second phase of local level elections.


The NC will form the next government under the leadership of party President Sher Bahadur Deuba by the first week of June.


The NC-led upcoming government will conduct the second phase of local level elections,  federal and national elections, said Bishwokarma.
