DRI raids and seals liquor gallery and warehouse

KATHMANDU, May 21: A Department of Revenue Investigation (DRI) team from Harihar Bhawan, Lalitpur, has raided and sealed KK & K Liquor Gallery and warehouse.



The DRI raided the liquor gallery operated by Federation of Liquor Associations of Nepal President Rajan KC and his brother Anil KC. This included the KK & K Liquor Gallery, warehouse, and office in Chunikhel, Budhanilkantha Municipality-13, as well as the KK & K store in Basundhara, Kathmandu Metropolitan City-3.

Acting on information from the Intelligence Bureau of the Armed Police Force, the DRI special police conducted the raid.


Sources indicate that the office, store, and shop were sealed after seizing accounting records and store-related documents.


The raid was prompted by allegations of tax evasion through the illegal storage of various foreign and local liquor brands worth millions of rupees.


One laptop, two computer chips, four pen drives, and six or seven bags of important documents were seized during the raid.
