DSP Thug Bahadur KC dismissed from police service

KATHMANDU, July 26: Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Thug Bahadur KC of Nepal Police has been dismissed from the police service.



Police spokesperson and Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) Kuber Kadayat said that KC has been dismissed on Thursday by Dinesh Bhattarai, secretary of the Ministry of Home Affairs (MoHA), as per the recommendation made by the Nepal Police Headquarters.

According to DIG Kadayat, a decision has been made to dismiss DSP KC declaring him ineligible for government service in the future.


Earlier, KC was suspended for taking bribes from gold traders while he was serving as the head of Area Police Office, Butwal. The Lumbini Provincial Police Office recommended the suspension of KC to the Police Headquarters and the headquarters subsequently recommended to the MoHA to take necessary action.
