EC directs offices concerned to take action against employees breaching code of conduct

KATHMANDU, Oct 14: The Election Commission has directed the chiefs of concerned offices to take departmental action against the government employees, university teachers, teachers and other concerned individuals breaching election code of conduct enforced for the House of Representatives and provincial assemblies elections scheduled for on November 20.

KATHMANDU, Oct 14: The Election Commission has directed the chiefs of concerned offices to take departmental action against the government employees, university teachers, teachers and other concerned individuals breaching election code of conduct enforced for the House of Representatives and provincial assemblies elections scheduled for on November 20. 



EC Spokesperson Shaligram Poudel said that the EC Secretariat would initiate action against the office chiefs if they refused to take action against the code of conduct violators as per the EC directive.

Also, the EC has directed the Nepal Police and National Investigation Department to closely monitor the violation of election code of conduct possibly from political parties and candidates and election expenses by mobilizing their local structures and reporting the details to the EC to this effect.
