EC inspects election publicity activities in Kathmandu

Election Commission's team led by Commissioner Sudhir Kumar Shah today has observed the election publicity campaigns and materials used for the same in various parts of the capital.

KATHMANDU, Nov 24: Election Commission's team led by Commissioner Sudhir Kumar Shah today has observed the election publicity campaigns and materials used for the same in various parts of the capital.



The team carried out an onsite inspection at Chabahil, Pashupati Mitrapark, Baneshwar, Sangamchok, among other places.

In course of inspection, major parties were found responsible for violating the election code of conduct as they were using publicity banners violating the code.


After inspection, EC directed police to remove the publicity banners and other materials used violating the election code of conducts in various parts.


The inspection team comprises commission joint attorney Geeta Timilsina, Kathmandu CDO Kedar Sharma and Kathmandu police Chief Rabindra Dhanuk. RSS
