Eighth Tanahun festival to begin from January 22

KATHMANDU, Dec 4: The eighth Tanahun festival will be held from January 22 to January 24. Organized by the Tanahun Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the festival will be held at PB Park at Byas Municipality-3.

KATHMANDU, Dec 4: The eighth Tanahun festival will be held from January 22 to January 24. Organized by the Tanahun Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the festival will be held at PB Park at Byas Municipality-3.



Speaking at a press conference on Friday, Pabindra Kumar Shrestha, President of the Tanahun Chamber of Commerce and Industry, said that the festival aims to conduct a feasibility study and promote local productions, agriculture, religions, culture, industry, trade and tourist destinations.

Around 500,000 people and approximately Rs 60 million worth of transactions of goods are expected in the festival. “Preparations are being made for visitors to visit the cultural model villages including Manungkot, Kumaltari, Botegaun and Daraigaun in the area,” Shrestha said.
