Elected local representatives have provided services to people at their doorsteps: Minister Bhusal

KATHMANDU, March 25: Minister for Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation, Pampha Bhusal has said that the elected representatives at the local level provided many necessary services to the people at their doorsteps in the last five years.

KATHMANDU, March 25: Minister for Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation, Pampha Bhusal has said that the elected representatives at the local level provided many necessary services to the people at their doorsteps in the last five years.



Inaugurating the newly-constructed ward office building of Lalitpur Metropolitan City Ward 23 today, she said, "In the last five years, the local governments have done a lot of work for the people.”

Stating that there were no physical infrastructures in some places when the first local government was formed, Minister Bhusal said that it was needed to provide quality services to the people by making proper use of the available resources.


She said, "In the absence of law, it was difficult to address the aspirations of the people and there was no experience, although the local government has done a lot in five years."
