Election date will be announced in third week of July: Gagan Thapa

KATHMANDU, July 11: Nepali Congress General Secretary Gagan Thapa has said that the date of the election will be announced in the third week of July.

KATHMANDU, July 11: Nepali Congress General Secretary Gagan Thapa has said that the date of the election will be announced in the third week of July.



He said this at a program organized in Lalitpur on Monday. Thapa said that the Cabinet meeting to be held on July 20 and 21 will announce the date of federal and province level elections.

Similarly, he also called on the party’s cadres to start preparations for the election. Thapa said that there were some shortcomings in running the government in these six months.


He said that the work of the government will be discussed in the Central Committee meeting starting Monday. Thapa expressed his commitment to improve the past tradition of running the party.
