Three more Nepalis succumbed to COVID-19 in foreign countries last week
KATHMANDU, Jan 31: Dr Sanjeeb Sapkota, co-coordinator of the Health Committee under the Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) has said a person can still transmit the novel coronavirus even after being inoculated with its vaccine.

None of the vaccines developed against COVID-19 have been declared 100 percent efficient so far. The cases of re-infection of the virus in people even after receiving shots of vaccine are being reported, said Dr Sapkota. “There is no guarantee that a COVID-19 patient cannot spread COVID-19 virus after receiving vaccines,” he added. “One should adopt proper safety measures against COVID-19 irrespective of receiving the vaccine.”
Meanwhile, three more Nepali nationals succumbed to COVID-19 in the United Kingdom last week, according to a press statement by the NRNA. So far, as many as 330 Nepali people have died of COVID-19 abroad.
Similarly, as many as 58,695 Nepali people living abroad have contracted the virus including 55,793 people who have recovered.
