Ex Minister Dhakal seeks extra security

KATHMANDU, Dec 9: Nepal Family Party's chairman and former minister Eknath Dhakal has sought additional security for him from the government. Dhakal reportedly said he is feeling insecure in the recent days.

KATHMANDU, Dec 9: Nepal Family Party's chairman and former minister Eknath Dhakal has sought additional security for him from the government. Dhakal reportedly said he is feeling insecure in the recent days.



Dhakal's personal secretary Jitendra Shrestha said in a statement that he has requested the concerned authorities to make additional security arrangement for the former minister because of his insecurities.

Dhakal's statement comes hot on the heels of the Asia Pacific Summit organized in Kathmandu by the Universal Peace Federation. Dhakal is head of the federation's Nepal chapter.


The summit had courted controversy since the government itself was involved in organizing the event that was attended by hundreds of international delegates including some heads of state and government.
