Around 2, 700 farmers from Rajapur Tulsi, Bhediyahi, Saruattha, Jhunkhanuwa, Pachrukhhi, and Badharwa demonstrated in front of the DAO and Agriculture Development Office (ADO) in Gaur. Badharwa's farmer Nagendra Sah claimed to have lost three Bighas of crops due to the harmful liquid discharged by the factories. Farmers also claimed that the hazardous waste has decimated the aquatic life in the Jhanj River.

Chief District Officer Uddhab Bahadur Thapa has directed the chief of ADO Raj Narayan Yadav to investigate the matter and collect all the necessary information on the loss of crops to compensate the farmers.

Earlier in July, CDO compensated Rs 80 million to the farmers for a similar case.
