RAUTAHAT, July 5: A father has murdered his own daughter on Tuesday to get the life insurance on her in Rautahat district.



Ram Kishor  Yadav,39, a resident of Naulapur Municipality-6 in Rautahat district killed his four-year-old daughter Laxmi Raya Yadav on Tuesday to obtain the life insurance on her, police said.


Yadav has admitted having murdered his daughter, according to Nabin Karki, Spokesperson and Deputy Superintendent of Police(DSP) at District Police Office, Rauthat.

He was made public on Friday morning by organizing a press conference.


Her daughter went missing on Tuesday. A team of police personnel found her dead body in a pond located in the village on Wednesday with the help of locals.


After the autopsy report showed that she was thrown into the pond after being murdered, the police conducted a probe into the incident.


The team of police personnel who were involved in the probe into the incident found that she was murdered by her own father.


His father had bought Rs 25,00,000 worth of life insurance on her daughter one month ago. He had already paid the first installment of the life insurance totaling Rs 1,75,000. According to police, after Yadav learned that he would get Rs 50,00,000 if his daughter died within one month since the beginning of the life insurance.
