KATHMANDU, July 19: The Federal Alliance, the alliance of agitating Madhes-based and ethnicity-based parties protesting against the provisions of new constitution, has unveiled fresh protest programs after a meeting of the alliance members on Monday.
"The protest programs which are scheduled from July 20 until September 13 will be interactive," said Om Gurung, the spokesperson of the alliance.
According to Gurung, the alliance will hold interaction program in Kathmandu, Dhangadhi, Dang, Butwal, Hetauda, Chandranigahapur, Bardibas, Itahari, Birtamod and Biratnagar.
The meeting also reviewed its previous protest programs and concluded that the protest program of relay hunger strike in Kathmandu until last week helped to unite the people and gave positive message about the protest program itself.
The alliance, which is unhappy with the constitution, had centered its protest programs in the capital since the second week of May.
Meanwhile, the alliance has decided that the parties under the alliance and present in the parliament will vote for the no-confidence motion against the Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli.
"If the Nepali Congress-CPN (Maoist Center) alliance makes commitment to fulfill the 11-point demands raised by the United Democratic Madhesi Front (UDMF) and 26-point demands by the Federal Alliance in writing, parties under the alliance will take part in the voting for electing new Prime Minister," said Manish Suman, the general secretary of Sadbhavana Party.
