Fierce wildfire in Shivapuri National Park, choppers being used to douse the fire

KATHMANDU, April 26: A huge wildfire has broken out in the Thanidada area of ​​Shivapuri National Park in Kathmandu. Helicopters are being used to extinguish the fire that started on Monday.

KATHMANDU, April 26: A huge wildfire has broken out in the Thanidada area of ​​Shivapuri National Park in Kathmandu. Helicopters are being used to extinguish the fire that started on Monday.



The fire broke out in the forest on the south side of Jogal Danda Nani Gumba in Ward 2 of Budhanilkantha Municipality. Laxman Shrestha of Chunikhel of Budhanilkantha Municipality Ward 13 said that the fire that started on Monday didn’t look dangerous but turned into a fierce one today. Two helicopters are currently being used to bring the fire under control.

Police said that fire engines and tankers are also being mobilized to douse the fire.
