KATHMANDU, Oct 19: Video game developer Electronic Arts (EA) has released FIFA Mobile, a new mobile and tablet version of their popular football video game franchise. The game is available for free download on the App Store, Google Play and Windows 10 store.

“FIFA Mobile is made for players looking for a quick, fun, accessible football game, while still offering the depth of modes and presentation synonymous with the EA Sports FIFA franchise,” EA said in an official statement released earlier this month.

New features in FIFA Mobile include ‘Leagues’ and ‘Attack Mode’. In ‘Leagues’ gamers can create and compete in online league challenges with friends and users all around the world.

The ‘Attack Mode’ provides scenario based challenges where users play quick matches to score points and climb divisions.

Todd Batty, a senior producer at EA, said that the game has been optimized for mobile gaming and to socially engage users. “When developing FIFA Mobile, we focused on giving players the most exciting parts of football in quick and fun bursts while prioritizing gameplay and engaging, new ways to play FIFA on-the-go,” he said.

FIFA Mobile has an install size within 100 MB and can only be played online. German footballer Marco Reus, who plays for German club Borussia Dortmund, is featured on the game’s cover.
