SINDHUPALCHOWK, July 13: Five passengers were killed and eight others sustained injuries in an accident that took place at Sindhupalchok on Thursday night.
The bolero jeep, Lu 1 Kha 999, enroute to Manekharka from Kiteni of Sindhupalchok fell some 400 meters off the road said SP Mohan Prasad Pokharel.

The deceased have been identified as Bhim Bahadur Tamang, 65, Jayarani Tamang, 60, Podom Tamang, 56, Nani Tamang, 53, and Sunmaya Tamang, 25 of Panchpokhari Thankpal rural municipality.
Injured eight are receiving treatment at Teaching Hospital, Kathmandu.
