Five percent votes declared invalid in Kaski

KATHMANDU, Nov 30: About five percent of the votes cast in the general elections in Kaski have been invalidated.

KATHMANDU, Nov 30: About five percent of the votes cast in the general elections in Kaski have been invalidated.



In Kaski, where there are 291,568 voters and three constituencies, 178,868 votes were cast under the first-past-the-post selector system for members of the House of Representatives. Rudra Neupane, information officer of the Provincial Election Office Pokhara, informed that 170,344 votes were valid while 8464 votes were invalid.

Likewise, 6,738 votes have been invalidated in all the three constituencies under the proportional representation category for HoR seats. Similarly, 6,020 direct votes for Province Assembly seats were invalid, while 10,385 votes under the PR category were invalid.
