A week-long food festival, hosted by the Kathmandu Marriott Hotel, celebrates the rich and delightful flavors of the Mewar and Marwar cuisines.  



Kathmandu Marriott Hotel in Naxal is hosting a Rajasthani gourmet food festival at Thamel Kitchen. The food festival is dedicated to exploring age-old recipes infused with rich flavors from ancient kitchens that have once served royalty.

Handcrafted by a culinary maestro from Rajasthan and inspired from delicious Mewar and Marwar cuisine, these dishes are a culinary experience you don’t want to miss. At the festival, you will get to sample some glorious authentic Rajasthani food.


The lavish buffet spread includes delicacies like dal bati, lal maans, gatta curry and sweets like gewar. There are also live counters serving hot sizzling kebabs. Along with the scrumptious food, you can also enjoy tunes of Rajasthani folk music. The food and the ambience together recreate a version of Rajasthan right here in our country.


The buffet is open from 6:30 pm to 10:30 pm and is priced at Rs 2400 (exclusive of extra charges). There’s also unlimited beer if you are someone who prefers drinks with dinner. The price of buffet with beer is Rs 3000 (exclusive of extra charges). The festival has been running since the beginning of this week and is on till July 28, 2019.
