PARBAT, Nov 2: Education Minister Dhani Ram Paudel has said that the process to form the high level Education Commission is underway.
Speaking at a press meet organized in Kushma on Wednesday, Minister Paudel informed that said the Ministry of Education is working to form the high level Education Commission to uplift the standard of the education sector.
“We are in the final stage of formulation of Education Regulation as part of implementing the eighth amendment of the Education Act ,” Minister Paudel said.
“We are also working to address the problems of the temporary school teachers,” he said, adding that the ministry has just implemented a seven-year school sector development project to retain students in schools and make them competent.
Minister Paudel further said that the proposal to amend the constitution of Nepal to address the demands of the Madhes-based parties will be registered in the parliament soon.
“Along with the amendment of the constitution, the local body elections will be held by taking the Madhes-based parties in confidence,” he said.
He also said that the impeachment of Lokman Singh Karki, chief of the Commission for the Investigation of the Abuse of Authority was filed due to Karki's autocratic working style.
