Four held on charge of destroying wall of Gautam Buddha Cricket Stadium released

CHITWAN, June 10: The Chitwan district police released the four persons arrested for destroying the wall of the under-construction Gautam Buddha International Cricket Stadium on the condition of appearing to the police on a regular basis.

CHITWAN, June 10: The Chitwan district police released the four persons arrested for destroying the wall of the under-construction Gautam Buddha International Cricket Stadium on the condition of appearing to the police on a regular basis.

Prakash Kandel, Bhairav Bastakoti, Dhurba Chapagain and Surendra BK were held on charge of destroying the wall with a dozer. They were released in the presence of Bharatpur Metropolitan City mayor Renu Dahal, and State Assembly member Bijaya Subedi.


In a statement they have apologised for their act and expressed their commitment to help in the construction of the Stadium in the days to come. Likewise, other 14 people held on the same charge were already released on the condition of appearing to the police on a regular basis.
