FWEAN, other prominent business organizations strategize participation in key in'tl trade fairs in India

KATHMANDU, Oct 13: A collaborative meeting was convened among prominent business organizations, including the Federation of Women Entrepreneurs’ Associations of Nepal (FWEAN), Federation of Nepal Commerce and Small Industries (FNCSI), Nepal-India Chamber of Commerce (NICC), Nepal Chamber of Commerce (NCC), and Confederation of Nepalese Industries (CNI) at the FWEAN Secretariat on Friday.

KATHMANDU, Oct 13: A collaborative meeting was convened among prominent business organizations, including the Federation of Women Entrepreneurs’ Associations of Nepal (FWEAN), Federation of Nepal Commerce and Small Industries (FNCSI), Nepal-India Chamber of Commerce (NICC), Nepal Chamber of Commerce (NCC), and Confederation of Nepalese Industries (CNI) at the FWEAN Secretariat on Friday.



The primary objective of the gathering was to enhance collaboration and strategize participation in three major expo/trade fairs: World Food India, 10th Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2024, and 7th Bengal Global Business Summit, scheduled to be held in New Delhi, Gujarat, and Kolkata, respectively.

World Food India is slated to be held from November 3 to 5, 2023, at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi, while the 10th Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit is planned for January 10 to 12, 2024, in Gandhinagar, Gujarat. Additionally, the 7th Bengal Global Business Summit is set to be organized on November 21-22, 2023, in Kolkata.


The meeting witnessed the presence of key figures, including President of FNCSI Umesh Prasad Singh, Deputy Director of NICC Marshal Rathore, Executive Member of NCC Tikaram Sharma, and Acting President of CNI, Birendra Raj Pandey.


Representing FWEAN, President Shova Gyawali, Founder Member/Immediate Past President Neeru Rayamajhi Khatri, 2nd Vice President Sunita Vaidya Shrestha, 3rd Vice President Basanti Pradhan, Secretary Sumitra Palanchoke, Consultant Shreejana Rana, Executive Director Suyesha Sthapit, and BDC Manager Abhilasha Poudel were present during the meeting.


The discussion at the meeting focused on active participation in the upcoming expo/trade fairs and the exhibition of various products, emphasizing indigenous products from Nepal. The meeting also discussed the selection of representatives from each organization for these events.
