Gandaki unveils budget of Rs 35.90 billion

KATHMANDU, June 16: Gandaki Province has announced a budget of Rs 35.90 billion for fiscal year 2022/23, underscoring the development of agriculture, tourism and health sectors.



Finance Minister of Gandaki Province Ramji Prasad Baral announced the next year’s budget in the provincial assembly on Wednesday. The earmarked total amount is around Rs 6.40 billion more than the amount for the current fiscal year that will end mid—July.

Of the total budget, the provincial government has allocated Rs 22.14 billion (61.66 percent) for capital expenditure while Rs 13.26 billion (36.95 percent) will be used for recurrent expenditure. Last year, the capital expenditure and recurrent expenditure were Rs 16.73 billion and 13.06 billion, respectively.
