Gearing up for ‘Sichuan Food Festival’

Hyatt Regency Kathmandu is launching 10-day long  ‘Sichuan Food Festival’ that kicks off on August 16 at The Café.

Chinese cuisines have been one of the most preferred foods worldwide. Due to its the high demand, numerous eateries are serving Chinese dishes, however it’s hard to find authentic Chinese cuisines in town. Considering this, Hyatt Regency Kathmandu is launching 10-day long  ‘Sichuan Food Festival’ that kicks off on August 16 at The Café. The food will be prepared by chef Yam Bahadur Chhetri. Chhetri has an expertise of more than 13 years in Sichuan cuisine.

Sichuan is one of the global cuisines and highly preferred cuisine due to its diverse flavors and cooking methods along with abundance usage of hot peppers. During the festival, visitors can enjoy the authentic taste from Chinese Sichuan such as butter wok tossed corn with black pepper and crispy congee lamb as a starter. Similarly, chili garlic noodles; stir fired Chinese green, prawn in xo sauce, schechwan chicken, Chinese salad, and grilled chicken with asparagus in Sirach sauce as a main course. Meanwhile, the visitors can savor wide variety of desserts and drinks.


The festival will continue till August 25.
