Gold for Pariyar-Khatri duo

KATHMANDU, May 5: The duo of Jitendra Pariyar and Santosh Khatri has won the first prize in men’s double competition in the sixth Citizens’ Bank Open Tennis tournament in a final match played at tennis court of Tripureshwar, Kathmandu on Friday.

KATHMANDU, May 5: The duo of Jitendra Pariyar and Santosh Khatri has won the first prize in men’s double competition in the sixth Citizens’ Bank Open Tennis tournament in a final match played at tennis court of Tripureshwar, Kathmandu on Friday.

They defeated the duo of Anil Shahi and Pradip Khadka in straight sets of 6-4 and 6-3 to take the gold home.The remaining two finals of men and women’s single competition for the open tennis tournament will be played on Saturday at the same venue. Jitendra Pariyar will contest Kamal Bhandari in the men’s final whereas Prerna Koirala will face Aaira Rawat for the women’s title.
