Gold price decreases by Rs 500 per tola

KATHMANDU, March 9: The price of gold has decreased by Rs 500 per tola in the domestic market on Thursday.



The price of fine gold has been set at Rs 101,000 per tola today. The precious yellow metal was traded at Rs 101,500 per tola on Wednesday, according to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Associations.

Similarly, the price of standard gold has been fixed at Rs 100,500 per tola today. It was traded at Rs 101,000 per  tola yesterday.


Today, the price of silver has also decreased by Rs 5 per tola and stands at Rs 1,220 per tola, which was Rs 1,225 per tola on Wednesday.


The federation has been fixing the price of gold and silver in Nepal in line with the transaction prices of the metals in the international market.
