Gold price sets new record

KATHMANDU, Jan 24: Today, the price of gold in the domestic market has set a new record.

KATHMANDU, Jan 24: Today, the price of gold in the domestic market has set a new record.



Manik Ratna Shakya, president of the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers Associations informed Republica that the price of fine gold has increased by Rs 1000 per tola than to Rs 106,300 per tola.

Earlier, on March 9, 2022, the price of gold had reached the highest price of Rs 105,500 per tola.


On Monday, standard gold was traded at Rs 104,800 per tola. According to the federation, today the price of standard gold has been fixed at 105,800 per tola.


The price of silver, however, decreased by 15 per tola today. Compared to the previous trading price which was Rs 1,380 per tola, the decreased rate of silver has remained Rs 1,365 per tola.
