Govt is ready to acquire Manmohan Medical College: PM Deuba

KATHMANDU, August 12: Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has said that the government is ready to acquire Manmohan Medical College, recovering its full investment.

KATHMANDU, August 12: Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has said that the government is ready to acquire Manmohan Medical College, recovering its full investment. He assured that the government is committed to stop on opening further medical college implementing the Mathema report.



Speaking at the meeting with the leaders of various parties and civil society regarding the demand of Dr Govinda KC, PM Deuba accepted that the demands raised by Dr KC are really important and relevant adding that the medical colleges have crossed their limits.

According to former Health Minister Gagan Thapa, PM Deuba has assured that if CPN-UML agrees then the government is ready to acquire Manmohan Medical College as the monitoring for the affiliation of the college has been already performed.


According to Thapa, PM Deuba has reiterated that the government is in mood to endorse the bill based on the report to quash the manipulation forever in the affiliation of the colleges.
