Government to hold elections at any cost: Minister Karki

URLABARI, April 19: Minister for Information and Communications and Government spokesperson Surendra Bahadur Karki has said that the government is focused on holding the local-level elections on May 14. 



Speaking at an election training programme organised by his party CPN (Maoist Centre) here on Wednesday, Minister Karki said the present priority of the government was election.

Stating that some forces were conspiring against the elections, Karki said, "Efforts are being made to stop the election from taking place as power is now reaching the people's doorstep. But the government will hold elections at any cost." 


Sharing that efforts are on to bring the Madhesi Morcha on board to hold the local-level election on May 14, he said the government was ready to present the constitutional amendment bill for a decision in the parliament if the Morcha agreed to it. RSS
