Govt, 33-party alliance holding talks at Singha Durbar

KATHMANDU, June 23: The government and the agitating 33-party Rastriya Morcha are holding talks. In the meeting to be held at the Prime Minister’s Office in Singha Durbar, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli will also take part, PM’s press coordinator Chetan Adhikari told Republica Online.

KATHMANDU, June 23: The government and the agitating 33-party Rastriya Morcha are holding talks. In the meeting to be held at the Prime Minister’s Office in Singha Durbar, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli will also take part, PM’s press coordinator Chetan Adhikari told Republica Online.



The political alliance, which is coordinated by Shovram Thapa, consists of 33 fringe parties.  The alliance has been demanding that the government ensure their ownership in the new constitution.

Formed before the second Constituent Assembly, Thapa has been leading the 33-party alliance after the then Baidya-led CPN-Maoist left the group.

The government has been urging various disgruntled political parties and groups to          come forward for talks.


Earlier, the government had officially sent letters to Tharuhat/Tharuwan United Struggle Committee, United Democratic Madhesi Front (UDMF) and National Muslim Struggle Alliance inviting them for talks.
