The current government has not taken any initiative for the Nepal visit of the Chinese President. Preparations were made during the erstwhile KP Oli government for the Chinese President visit to Nepal. Back then, it was said that the Chinese president was likely to visit Nepal in September.

“Although, there is no hint by the Chinese President to visit Nepal anytime soon, the government made a clever decision of observing a holiday on Chinese President’s visit to Nepal so as not to look pro-Indian.” said a UML leader.
