Govt appoints Silwal as member secretary of NSC

KATHMANDU, July: Government has appointed Ramesh Silwal as the member secretary of the National Sports Council. Minister for Youth and Sports Jagat Bahadur Bishwakarma appointed Silwal to the important post in the country’s sports field on Monday.

KATHMANDU, July: Government has appointed Ramesh Silwal as the member secretary of the National Sports Council. Minister for Youth and Sports Jagat Bahadur Bishwakarma appointed Silwal to the important post in the country’s sports field on Monday.

Silwal took an oath of office and assumed the office on Monday. After the oath, newly appointed member secretary Silwal said that he has accepted the challenge of organizing the upcoming South Asian Games (SAG) in stipulated time. He added that he took the leadership to contribute to the country’s sports sector.


The post was left vacant following the retirement of the then member secretary Keshav Kumar Bista on June 24.
