KATHMANDU, Oct 18: The government has declared a public holiday on Tuesday to mourn the demise of Centenarian Satya Mohan Joshi.
Issuing a press statement on Monday, the Home Ministry stated that a decision was made to give a public holiday across the country on Tuesday.

A statement issued by the Home Ministry said that the decision was also taken to raise the national flag at half-mast on Tuesday at all government offices, public organizations across the nation and at diplomatic missions abroad to mourn the passing away of cultural expert Joshi.
Joshi passed away on Sunday at the age of 103.
