Govt launches probe against hospital employe forging fake COVID-19 report

KATHMANDU, August 26: The government has launched a probe into the case of issuance of fake COVID-19 reports by hospital employees.



The Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) has begun the investigation against the employees of Shahid Gangalal National Heart Center.

The health ministry has begun investigation against Binod Kumar Yadav, who is a senior lab technician at the hospital, on the charge of forging fake COVID-19 reports.


The ministry is taking action on tip-offs from the general public.


Yadav has been accused of forging fake COVID-19 reports and collecting money from the general public, according to Man Bahadur Basnet, under secretary at the MoHP.
