Govt reduces budget for Labour Ministry in new FY

KATHMANDU, May 29: The government has allocated Rs 8.08 billion for the Ministry of Labour, Employment and Social Security for the new fiscal year.

KATHMANDU, May 29: The government has allocated Rs 8.08 billion for the Ministry of Labour, Employment and Social Security for the new fiscal year.



Presenting the annual budget for the coming fiscal year 2022/23 in the federal parliament today, Finance Minister Dr Prakash Sharan Mahat said creating employment in the country is in top priority of the government.

A total of Rs 9.13 billion budget was allocated in the current fiscal year for the Ministry of Labour, Employment and Social Security. The budget of the ministry for the coming fiscal year has been reduced by more than one billion rupees.
