Govt’s apathetic attitude toward Dr KC condemnable: NC

KATHMANDU, Jan 16: Nepali Congress (NC) has urged the government to save Dr Govinda KC by fulfilling his demands without delay in line with the agreement reached with him in the past.



“It is condemnable to see the government’s apathetic attitude toward Dr KC while his condition is getting worse day by day,” Nepali Congress said in a press release issued today.

Senior orthopedic surgeon Dr KC has been staging fast-unto-death at the district hospital, Ilam for the last eight days, demanding reforms in the medical sectors.


Dr KC resorted to the 16th fast-unto-death demanding implementation of the agreement reached with government on July 26, 2018.


He started staging hunger strike on January 9 after the Education and Health Committee of the Legislature Parliament endorsed the bill without incorporating his demands.
