Govt sets Rs 536.56 per quintal as minimum price of sugarcane

KATHMANDU, Jan 3: The government has fixed Rs 536.56 per quintal as the minimum price of sugarcane on Thursday.



A cabinet meeting held in Singha Durbar today took a decision to this effect.


“The minimum price of sugarcane has been fixed for Rs 536.56 per quintal,” said Minister for Communications and Information Technology Gokul Baskota at press conference organized to unveil the cabinet decision today.

Similarly, the government has made as many as 13 decisions including appointment of Gopal Khanal as the advisor to the Gorkhapatra Corporation, tabling the Bill to amend Senior Citizens’ Act at the federal parliament, said the government unveiling the decisions taken on December 28 and 31.


Meanwhile, the government has also given permission to table the bill designed to regulate the advertisements of the government.


Similarly, the task-force formed to prepare on public holidays has proposed as many as15 additional public holidays.
