KATHMANDU, Sept 7: Civil Service Day is being celebrated in Nepal today. However, the government has not found the best civil servant this year as well.
Although the cabinet meeting on Monday announced awarding 40 civil servants this year, the best employee has not been named.

On the occasion of Civil Service Day, a total of 10 employees are being given excellent and 30 employees are being given civil service awards. The prize money for the best employee award is Rs 100,000 and the civil service prize is Rs 50,000.
The government has been celebrating Civil Service Day on September 7 every year. A provision has been made for civil service award as per the Civil Service Rules 1993 (2050 BS). The selection committee has not recommended any name for the best employee award that carries a purse of Rs 200,000.
