KATHMANDU, Dec 17: Leader of the CPN (Unified Socialist) and former Prime Minister Jhalanath Khanal has said that the political parties have no alternative than to work together.
Khanal made such a remark while speaking at a program organised to congratulate the newly elected MPs of the CPN (Unified Socialist) at the party’s central office on Monday. Khanal said that since the people’s vote did not give a clear majority to any party, they have no option than to work together.

He said that a new government will be formed within a week. Khanal said that the left democratic government is most likely to be formed. He instructed the party leaders to raise the problems of the people in the parliament and added that the government should set certain goals and plans instead of focusing on allocating ministerial portfolios to the parties.
