KATHMANDU, Dec 15: The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) on Friday filed a corruption case against District Government Attorney of Rupandehi, Kosh Hari Niroula, at the Special Court on the charge of bribery.
The anti-graft body had arrested Niroula red-handed on November 20 while receiving bribe of Rs 80,000 from a client.

A team of the CIAA had arrested him along with the bribery amount from a service seeker during its anti-corruption drive.
Niroula had accepted the bribe from the service seeker to settle a court case in his favor. He was arrested from his office in Bhairahawa and brought to Kathmandu.
The anti-graft body has sought a sentence of up to six months and equal amount of he received as bribe in accordance to Section 3(1)(c) of the Corruption Prevention Act, 2002.
A few days ago, Pokhara High Court's Joint Attorney Surendra Thapa was arrested and for receiving bribe of Rs 500,000 from a client to settle a court case.
