She starts out with her feet tiny

And eyes wide

Taking huge Popsicle bites

Caught between innocent pinky promises

That held pure intentions

Swiftly reality buds out

Growing pointy thorns of time

Transforming innocence into issue

It becomes unbearable

‘Cause there’s only so much she can take

Waking up with her pillow wet and eyes red

She lost everyone she called friends

As the reality flowers

She wonders “How bad can it be?”

Time ticking and taking her

Towards forthcoming

Its horrendous storm

But, in the now,

She sharpens her weapons

Apt with her armor

She wins every war

Inside out

Becomes invincible firework

Lighting up the darkest nights.
