BARDIYA, May 25: Wife of a serving police constable has been found hanging in a canteen located within the premises of the District Police Office in the district.
Police Head Constable, Raju Singh Thakuri's 30 years old wife Kalpana Singh Shrestha was found hanging at around 1 am last night. Thakuri, who hails from Jajarkot, is stationed at the same district police office.

DPO Bardiya's Chief, Superintendent of Police (SP), Janak Bhattarai, said investigation has been launched to find out if head constable Thakuri's wife Shrestha committed suicide or not.
Shrestha's body has been taken to the District Hospital in Gulariya for a post-mortem examination. Police said Thakuri is known to have engaged in domestic violence against his wife and that investigation into the case has been launched to find out if it is murder. RSS
