Health help desk set up for festival returnees from India

BAITADI, Oct 12: A health help desk has been set up at Jhulaghat transit point targeting the Nepalis returning from works in India for upcoming festivals like Dashain, Tihar and Chhath.

BAITADI, Oct 12: A health help desk has been set up at Jhulaghat transit point targeting the Nepalis returning from works in India for upcoming festivals like Dashain, Tihar and Chhath.

The health desk aims to quarantine for malaria in particular the festival returnees may contract, said Santosh Pandey, a health worker at the District Public Health Office. Blood of the festival returnees gets tested. Patients with malaria are treated for free," he said. 


Blood of the total 85 has been checked so far from the desk that was set up on Tuesday on the direction of the Health Directorate under the Ministry of Social Development of Far Western Province. RSS
