KATHMANDU, Dec 1: The Supreme Court has fixed its schedule to hear the case against suspended Chief of the CIAA, Lokman Singh Karki, on Dec ember 22.
Justices Jagdish Sharma Poudel, Ishwori Prasad Khatiwada and Dr Anand Mohan Bhattarai issued the order that the date for the hearing on the Karki's case be held on new date, but without considering the requests from any sides for postponement of hearing.
On behalf of suspended CIAA Chief Karki, senior advocate Bal Krishna Neupane had requested the court to postpone today's hearing owing to health reasons.
But, the SC said in its order, that generally it is unreasonable to postpone hearing on the disputes being dealt by the full bench, so, now onwards, the date for the hearing won't be put off on the request of any side.
Meanwhile, Karki himself appeared before the court on Thursday to receive the hearing date. RSS
