Hearing on Lalita Niwas land grab case to continue today

KATHMANDU, July 19: The hearing on a habeas corpus petition related to the Lalita Niwas land grab will continue today at the Supreme Court (SC).

KATHMANDU, July 19: The hearing on a habeas corpus petition related to the Lalita Niwas land grab will continue today at the Supreme Court (SC).



The hearing at the SC on Tuesday took place in a division bench of Justices Prakash Kumar Dhungana and Nahakul Subedi but could not complete due to lack of adequate time.

Secretary Krishna Bahadur Raut, former Election Commissioner Sudhir Kumar Shah, businessman Min Bahadur Gurung and former employee of Land Revenue Office Dharma Prasad Gautam had filed writ petitions at the apex court against their arrest in connection to the involvement in the land scam.


The SC is hearing six different petitions together on this case.
