Heavy rainfall expected for the next five days

KATHMANDU, July 20: Nepal will see heavy rainfall across the country for the next five days.

KATHMANDU, July 20: Nepal will see heavy rainfall across the country for the next five days.



According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, a low-pressure line has reached Nepali sky due to which heavy downpour will occur for five more days across the country.

The weather is expected to improve from July 24.


As of Monday, Provinces 1, 2, 5 and Bagmati, Gandaki and Sudur Paschim provinces have received heavy rainfall. Most of the places have received more than 100mm of rain, which is predicted to increase to 200mm.


Similarly, according to the latest data from the Division, in the last 24 hours, Koldi in Bara district recorded the highest rainfall (169mm).


Water levels in major rivers have crossed the danger mark, posing threat to human settlements.The Meteorological Forecasting Division has cautioned people to stay alert for the next few days.
