KATHMANDU, July 13: Himalaya Airlines, a Nepal-China joint venture airline, has launched the Internet Booking Engine (IBE), which allows customers to make ticket booking on the airline’s official website, www.himalaya-airlines.com .
This platform is designed to seamlessly connect people to their destinations. This service is available on both desktop and mobile devices, according to a statement issued by the airline.

In the initial phase, the airline accepted payments through eSewa wallet, MasterCard, and Visa Card, ensuring flexibility for a wide range of customers. Union Pay and ConnectIPS are also in the development phase and will be integrated into the system in the near future, further expanding the payment options available.
Moreover, the airline has introduced an array of add-on services to enhance the travel experience. Passengers can now pre-book baggage, select preferred seats, choose in-flight meals, reserve lounge access, and even opt for bundled fare options that combine multiple services. Additionally, the newly launched IBE allows travelers to conveniently check-in online, saving valuable time at the airport.

We are delighted to introduce our new IBE website, offering a simpler, faster, and more user-friendly ticketing process," the statement quotes Vijay Shrestha, vice-president of Himalaya Airlines, as saying.
